We are excited to return for this all family fun event located on the hills of the Land of Medicine Buddha in Soquel.

Hike4Peace is Tara Redwood School's annual HIKE-A-THON fundraiser.

This is a beautiful event for the entire family, pets welcome, free to attend. We hope the community will join us and participate in pledging a hiker and by purchasing raffle tickets.

There are great prices for the raffle, all donated by local businesses and the community.

Proceeds go to support the school and a charity chosen by the students of Tara Redwood School. 

TIME & LOCATION

  • TIME OF EVENT - 10–2pm
  • PARKING is available  at the Land of Medicine Buddha 
  • 10AM- HIKER PLEDGES IN PERSON begin at 10:00 am and will continue until PRIZES from the raffle tickets will be drawn at 2PM at end of event.

There will be an  Information pop-up booth with pledge forms and raffle tickets for the arts & crafts activities and the opportunity to pledge a hiker.

WHAT TO EXPECT

LOTS OF FUN FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY!

COME ENJOY A DAY OF COMMUNITY WHILE FUNDRAISING BY PLEDGING A HIKE FOR PEACE.

The event is set in a gorgeous location located in the upper campus of the school (at Land of Medicine Buddha in Soquel).

Pledge a student or pledge yourself and hike the 8 Verses Trail.

Our annual Hike4Peace event is an opportunity to benefit others both locally and globally.
10% of proceeds go to a charity selected by Tara Redwood Students.

We focus the event activities on Tara Redwood School's values and facilitate activities for the entire family with the intention too celebrate

World Peace
through Inner Peace.

The Hike-A-Thon is a great opportunity for all to set intention for inner peace.

Enjoy several arts & crafts tables, face-painting and live music by a local talent.

We will have GREAT raffle prizes too so GET YOUR RAFFLE TICKETS AND WIN PRIZES!

Take part in the fun by collecting each of the 7 CCC color bracelets during the HIKE-A-THON, symbolic of the qualities of the
school's CCC attributes.

The hike-a-thon trail is 1 mile long and it is situated along the "8 Verses trail".

The Hike4Peace is inspired by the 8 Verses in Tibetan Buddhist teaching on how to transform challenges into happiness and peace.
We have 7 color string bracelets that a pledged hiker can collect each time they get to Verse 8.

This is a fun fundraiser and community event in which most proceeds fundraise for Tara Redwood School's Programs and this year's Charity of Choice.
