JOIN US! COME ENJOY A DAY OF COMMUNITY WHILE FUNDRAISING for A STUDENTS' SELECTED CAUSE.

We are excited to bring back this all family fun event located on the hills of the Land of Medicine Buddha in Soquel.

Hike4Peace is Tara Redwood School's annual HIKE-A-THON fundraiser and Arts & Crafts Fair .

Pledge a student to hike the 8 Verses Trail !

Our annual Hike4Peace event is an opportunity to benefit others both locally and globally.

We focus the event activities on the Tara values and gather together to generate
more world peace through inner peace, and compassion in action.
This year we will be donating 10% of funds raised to help families affected by the fires in Los Angeles County.
The remainder of the funds support Tara Redwood School development, and financial aid.

LOTS OF FUN FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!

Enjoy several arts & crafts tables, face-painting and live music by a local talent.
 Take part in the fun by collecting each of the 7  CCC color bracelets during the HIKE-A-THON, symbolic of the qualities of  the
  school's CCC  attributes. The hike-a-thon trail is 1 mile long and it is situated along the "8 Verses trail". The trail is inspired
by the 8 Verses in Tibetan Buddhist teaching on how to transform challenges into happiness and peace.  
We have 7 color string bracelets that a pledged hiker can collect each time they get to Verse 8.

This is a fun fundraiser and community event in which most proceeds fundraise for Tara Redwood School's Programs and this year's Charity of Choice.

HIKE2HELP    the families affected by the fires in Los Angeles County by PLEDGING A HIKER.

TIME & LOCATION

  • TIME OF EVENT - 10–2pm
  • PARKING is available  at the Land of Medicine Buddha 
  • 10AM- HIKER PLEDGES IN PERSON begin at 10:00 am and will continue until PRIZES from the raffle tickets will be drawn at 2PM at end of event.

There will be an  Information pop-up booth with pledge forms and raffle tickets for the arts & crafts activities and the opportunity to pledge a hiker.
